In March 2011 my life turned upside down. My dad was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. I felt so helpless, I had to do something. So I found the local affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. My dad and I began volunteering, and helped to plan events such as a walk, fashion show, and vigil for pancreatic cancer. All the fighting we did together didn’t make a difference in the end though. He passed away a little less than year after he was diagnosed.
But I vow to keep fighting in his memory; to stop this disease from taking anyone else’s parent, sibling, child, or friend.
Will you join me in my battle? Please click here. Give a dollar and I’ll be grateful. Every little bit makes a difference.
I really don’t mean to be one of those annoying people that asks for donations. This cause means the world to me though. Please please please help.
